Olive wood is naturally durable and antibacterial, but a little care keeps your ArtisRaw pieces looking rich and smooth for years. Use these tips for cutting boards, spoons, bowls, trays, and décor.
Daily cleaning
- Wash by hand with mild soap and warm water.
- Do not put olive wood in the dishwasher — high heat and long soaks can crack or warp the wood.
- Dry promptly with a towel and let it air-dry upright.
Quick rule: If you would not put a fine wooden cutting board in the dishwasher, do not put ArtisRaw olive wood there either.
Oil for lasting beauty
Every few weeks (or when the wood looks dry), apply a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil or a beeswax board cream. Wipe off excess after 15–20 minutes. This helps prevent drying and deepens the natural grain.
What to avoid
- Soaking items in water for long periods
- Microwave or oven heat
- Harsh detergents or bleach
- Storing while still damp
Boards, utensils, and drinkware
Oil regularly and avoid leaving raw food juices sitting overnight.
Hand wash, dry, and oil when they feel rough or pale.
Hand wash only; dry fully before stacking or storing.
Dust gently and refresh with oil if the surface looks dry.
