Overall, the chess set with the drawer for the pieces is a success and a beautiful product for a great price. I do want to leave a couple of suggestions. 1. First, the mitered corners of the overall box and drawer are too sharp. They need a 1/8 round over to soften the edges a little. It’s just not kid friendly as-is. 2. The bottom plywood was visibly gouged and had visible tear out. Using plywood is fine for the price, but more care is needed when preparing. I think a higher quality ply is warranted as well. 3. The wax was a pleasant surprise for me, but the label felt misleading
